Add more support addresses

Receive email at several addresses, route each to a group and brand, and pick the default.

1 min read

You can receive email at as many addresses as you need, for example [email protected] and [email protected]. Each address creates tickets in the group and brand you choose.

Add an address

  1. Open Admin Center, Channels, Brands & email.
  2. Under Support addresses, choose Add address.
  3. Fill in:
    • Email address: the address customers write to.
    • Sender name: shown as the From name on replies.
    • Brand: the brand the tickets belong to.
    • Route to group: new tickets from this address go to this group. Leave Default routing to let your rules decide.
    • Default ticket form: the form new tickets from this address use.
  4. Save, then forward the mailbox and choose Verify forwarding.

The default address

One address is the Default address. ChaosDesk sends replies from it when a ticket did not arrive by email, for example a ticket created by an agent or from the help centre. To change it, edit another address and turn on Default address.

Find an address

The list shows how many addresses are Verified, Failed or still being checked. Use the search box, Filter by brand or Filter by forwarding status to find one.

Use addresses in rules

Triggers can check which address a ticket was received at, so you can, for example, set the priority of mail to [email protected].

Delete an address

Open the address’s actions and choose Delete address. Email to it stops creating tickets. Existing tickets are not changed.
