About

We built the helpdesk we wanted to pay for.

ChaosDesk is made by Askem d.o.o., a small European software company. It grew out of a helpdesk we built to replace Zendesk for a large support team: the same way of working, with all of its history, at a fraction of the price.

The story

Support tools got expensive. The work did not change.

Running support on Zendesk is comfortable until the renewal arrives. Agents, light agents, the copilot add-on, data residency and advanced features add up quickly, and the price grows with every person you hire. Moving away usually means retraining everyone, rebuilding hundreds of rules and losing years of history.

We took the opposite route. ChaosDesk follows the same concepts your team already knows, imports the whole account with its history, and answers the same API, so the switch is a project of days instead of months.

Why it costs less

Cheaper because of how it is built, not because of what is missing.

The same plan depth for a fraction of the price comes from three decisions we made on day one.

17 %

Our Pro plan as a share of Zendesk Suite Professional

$19 vs $115 per agent per month, billed annually. Zendesk list price read on 2026-11-06 at zendesk.com/pricing.

One shared platform per region

Every workspace runs on the same efficient stack. No servers, databases or queues per customer, so a new team costs us almost nothing to host.

AI priced at cost, not as an add-on

The copilot is part of every paid plan under fair use. Automated AI resolutions are billed per resolution at a price close to what they cost us to run.

A small team, no sales machine

Self-serve plans, public prices and a free assisted migration for larger teams. No seat minimums, no negotiation needed to get a fair price.

Principles

Four rules we hold ourselves to.

They decide what we build, what we charge and what we say on this site.

  1. Respect the way people work

Support teams spend years tuning their rules, views and macros. We keep them working instead of asking you to start again.

  2. Price it like infrastructure

A helpdesk is a tool you use all day, not a luxury. We run one efficient shared platform and pass the savings on.

  3. Be honest about limits

We tell you what does not move over and what is still on the roadmap, before you sign up, not after.

  4. Keep data close

EU hosting by default, encryption per workspace, and AI that never trains on your customers' conversations.

How we work

In the open, and in reach.

Every message to us is read by someone who works on the product. What we plan, ship and fix is public.
