Besides features, each plan sets a few numeric limits. “Unlimited” means no limit.

Limits “per seat” are pooled: they are multiplied by your paid seats and shared by the whole team. On Enterprise, a contract can set other limits.

When you reach a limit

When you try to add one more, ChaosDesk says You’ve reached your plan’s limit, for example “The Free plan allows 15 triggers. Upgrade to Starter for more.” Admins get an upgrade button; agents are asked to talk to an admin.

The limits apply however a record is created: in the agent workspace, through the API or by an import.

What never stops

  • Incoming email and messaging conversations always become tickets, even when the Free plan’s 100 new tickets a month are used up. The monthly limit counts tickets created in the agent workspace, through the API and from help centre request forms.
  • After you move to a smaller plan, everything over the new limit stays and keeps working. You only cannot add more until you are under the limit again or upgrade.

Locked features

A feature that is not in your plan shows a lock with the plan that has it. You can still see what you set up before (for example SLA policies after a downgrade), but you cannot change it until you upgrade. See plans and billing.
